BuckyBalls

Finally, a grown up toy that no one makes fun of you for!
BuckyBalls are strong powerful magnets that have taken storm on the internet, and have now made their way to retail stores across the globe. These small magnets are capable of forming a countless number of shapes, and can become quite the time waster. My friend told me today that two of his co-workers ended up racing over to Chapters to grab a set of BuckyBalls on their break, since apparently they fly off the shelves quickly!
heres a video of the toy in action:

So, will you be racing out to the nearest retailer to pick yourself up this awesome desk toy? Let us know!

winter sports

Whether there is snow where you live or if its miles away, everybody likes to participate in some sort of sport trend!

Tis the season in Canada as we get ready for many different winter activities! Some of the most common trends of winter activities include:

Snowmobiling - whether it is for lesuire or competition snowmobiling is a very popular and growing activity used by many people all over the world.

Snowboarding and Skiing - if you do not have mountains in your backyard, many people are willing to travel to the mountains to get the "real" experience! There is nothing like the feeling of gliding through snow at top speeds and even competing in competitions across the world!

Snowshoeing - originally made out of wood and rawhide lacing, new and improved snowshoes are made out of lightweight metal, plastic, and synthetic fabrics. These "shoes" work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot does not sink completely into the snow, a quality called "flotation".

Ice skating, tobogganing, hockey, curling and many more are trends of the winter or "snow" season!

'tis the season

Its almost that time of year again! The snow is falling, the advent calendars are coming, and you realize its time to start some holiday shopping.
Christmas is less than a month away now, you're probably faced with the complication of buying for a ton of people! One of the trends that often comes up during the holiday season is Secret Santa. If you're a starving university student, you might want to consider throwing one of these to limit the big expense that comes with the holidays. I'm sure your friends are in the same boat, and its an awesome way to get great gifts without having to splurge on everyone! Its also a great opportunity to get everyone together and enjoy each others company.
So, will you be participating in any secret santa's this year?

occupy movement

The occupy movement was inspired by the Arab Spring lead by a leader of the Spanish Indignants movement on May 30, 2011. It all began with a Canadian-based group from an anti-consumerist magazine called "Adbuster,"in which they proposed a peaceful occupation of Wall Street to protest corporate influence on democracy, address a growing disparity in wealth, and the absence of legal repercussions behind the recent global financial crisis. They basically opened the idea to the public and it flourished rapidly across the country and around the world.

An occupy movement is an international protest movement which is primarily directed against economic and social inequality.

This movement began on Wall Street, NYC, but then protests expanded to over 95 cities across 82 countries, and over 600 communities in the United States. Recent statistics states as of November 17 the "Meetup" page called "Occupy Together" listed Occupy communities in 2,609 towns and cities worldwide.

Participants in this movement use the slogan "We are 99%" which refers to the vast concentration of wealth among the top 1% of income earners compared to the other 99 percent.

Although there is not a coined definition as to why those involved in the Occupy Movement are doing so, it is said that the reason for this event is that protesters want more and better jobs, more equal distribution of income, bank reform, and a reduction of the influence of corporations on politics.

This political trend has occupied our newspapers and television screens over the past few months and have opened the eyes of many consumers and individuals who do not see these outrages on a regular basis.

Hey Guys and Gals

Check out this awesome idea! Designed by Cheng-Hsiu Du & Chyun-Chau Lin -- they have innovated rotating electrical sockets. The power bars and individual sockets are able to rotate 360° and is a multi-outlet socket system that allows you to add as many sockets together as wanted/needed. The main feature is that you can turn around the socket-outlets in any direction to accommodate various plugs in whichever form they come in. Have you ever had that one plug with a battery charger that requires more space and takes almost half of your power bar or outlet? Your problems have been solved with this product! Black Friday

Its almost that time of year again, when millions of americans flood the shopping malls in order to pick up the latest deals at discounted prices!
This Friday marks Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year for americans. Here in Canada, we don't get to experience the madness, but instead get to witness it through youtube videos and news stories. Although those close to the border may decide to join in the fun and do some shopping themselves.
For those easily entertained, here are a few highlights from past Black Friday's. To be honest, I'm a little scared...

raunchy girls are winning!

Women in the media are finally stepping outside of their stereotyped: innocent, delicate, motherly roles and bringing out their raw, edgy, outspoken side!

Beyond the F bombs, fart jokes, and pervy slapskick, this new wave of "real" women can be an inspiration to all women around the world! It almost gives women that little push they needed to open their mouths and say what they really want to say, speak from their mind mind, go with their gut feelings, and be able to tell that crappy person to "suck it!"

Some women in the media that are uniquely using this new trend of being raw and edgy can be seen in movies such as: bridesmaids (2011) & bad teacher (2011). Also in TV series such as: Two Broke Girls, Whitney, Chelsea Lately Show, and Whitney. (check out these shows and movies if you haven't already....hilarious!)

These women are raunchy, blunt, and hilarious but in all reality they are just your everyday woman!

Let us know how you feel about this new trend of behaviour? Please comment below!

Companies are always trying to improve exercise equipment but sometimes the necessities of exercising are left without improvement. Check out the new trend of water bottles called the Kangaroo water bottle:

The AUTOSEAL Kangaroo Water Bottle with Compartment features a built-in compartment - so you can carry keys, an ID, money, a train pass and more when you're on the go!

The bottle is spill-proof and leak-proof through its autoseal technology. It is easily convenient by offering the capability of only using one hand when using in any type of activity. There is no spouts to open or lids to remove, you just have to press the button and the seal will release automatically for use. There is also a measuring scale that helps you gage your water intake. The bottle is dishwasher safe and is made out of Tritan which provides high impact resistance and wont stain or retain odors. Most importantly it is made out of 100% FDA approved materials and is 100% BPA free. color picker

The color picker was designed and innovated by Jinsun Park.

Color Picker is an innovative design of a concept pen that can scan colors from anything around and instantly use the color for drawing. After placing the pen against an object, the user just presses the scan button. The color is being detected by the color sensor and the RGB cartridge of the pen mixes the required inks to create the target color.

This will allow people to use the actual color's nature intended us to see. So incredible!

Have you or someone you know used this product? Please comment below about your personal experiences with the color pen or what you think about its incredible design!

The End of Harry Potter

Today marks the last day we'll see a new release from the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 made its way to blu-ray and DVD today, finishing off the series 10 years after the first movie was released. If you're anything like me, you've been following this series since it first came out as a book back in '97. To be honest, its nice to know that the series has finally come to an end. I can now stop going to the midnight release in theatres every time one of these movies comes out. It was an awesome journey, but I don't know if I could battle any more potter fans to get the best seat.
Were you a diehard Harry Potter fan like me? Which book and/or movie was your favourite? let us know in the comments below!
